About Reading & Spelling Solutions
Our History...
Reading & Spelling Solutions was founded in 2003 by Susan C. Rosenthal, M.A in ED2 /AET. She is the lead instructor and program designer.
Before starting Reading & Spelling Solutions, Mrs. Rosenthal taught in public schools and universities for twenty-five years, and worked as a program specialist for special education in California's schools. She was inducted into the National Registry of Outstanding American Teachers in 2006, and is a former President of the California Association of Program Specialists.
With over thirty years of experience, she has developed a multi-faceted, scientifically-based method for successfully helping students with mild to moderate learning disabilities and dyslexia.
By using a diagnostic approach and combining several different state-of-the-art teaching programs, our students receive a personalized and extremely effective method of educational therapy.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to help students develop basic academic skills that will enable them to compete with their peers in private school and public school general education classrooms.
Each student is individually screened and given an academic program designed to meet their educational needs.
Our instruction is continually modified and adapted to help each student make optimal academic progress in an efficient amount of time.
During instruction, every effort is made to strengthen the students self esteem and confidence in learning.
